09:59 pm - Excuse YOUR french. Wahhhhlaoooooehzzz. I was reading Tila Tequila's official website and was shocked to find out where she was borned. I was even shocked to find out what one could collect about her country of origin.
'' If Tila’s music sounds like a cultural mash-up, it’s only fitting given her background. Born in Singapore to French-Vietnamese parents, Tila grew up in Houston, Texas in an environment that mimicked many immigrant families who moved from poorer countries to the United States. "It was me, my sister, brother, mom and dad in one room," she describes. "We only had one bed. There were flying roaches everywhere. We were very poor." If Tila’s childhood was economically challenged, her adolescence was more behaviorally challenged.
"
Singapore is not poor! She was!

09:09 pm - Deep Hi all. I am surprised I am actually writing an entry. So much has been happening since I got back. So many photos to share. NO TIME. Well ok. Just a quick summary, we had a night of badminton, cant remember which week,, at khoo's. Battling it out on teran bulan at the mercy of occasional cars and the dim lights of the steet lamps. That was a good work out in a while, perspired like mad! Khoo was doing some ballet thing instead of badminton. She leaps in the air for every ball. I think derick and I were the best la.
Kim your eyes look so scary here!

Left to right, Guilty of playing the wrong sport, and hitting too many air balls.
Lazy girls decided to paint their nails on the road.

Ok. Suddenly zoned out.
Anyway, it was my first day of work today. Helping my aunty out at her new place CrossKeys on killiney road. SUPER BORING, especially it being 4 hour shifts so I earn almost peanuts. On a lighter note, I started reading this book. Yes, I am reading a book. Titled 'The Perks of being a Wallflower' by stephen chbosky. Cole if you are reading it, yes it is your book and yes I will be very gentle with it. And hey, what do you know, I really am enjoying the book. Its not the same kind of pull I got from the other few books (like maybe 4 or 5?) that I have read, or rather, finished. I feel like I'm doing some KC literature essay but I must say that Charlie sorta reminds me of myself. Constantly thinking, not in any smart way, but just thinking. About everything. And I think that is extremely stressfull to the heart because I think too much and then get depressed. But anyway, I really want to quote these few lines. I think charlie is so cute.
DAMN I lost the pages. Ok nevermind. It wasn't any fancy shmancy with advanced vocab. Just plain and innocent and so true.
I think one of the reasons why i enjoy this book too is because as I was reading it in the train. The songs that played on shuffle were all unbelievably apt for whatever moment in the story. Like David Boey's All the Young Dudes, Golden Slumers. You know, like how I always say some songs give you me a funny feeling, makes me think of life, MEL YOU WOULD TOTALLY KNOW WHAT I MEAN haha. God that feeling is so freaking freaky. And at one part, where it was about someone introducing a new song to charlie, 'blackbird'. That bloody song played through my earphones. How wierd is that.
OKAY I AM BABBLING and I still need to search for schools! I feel like I'm running out of time. I had all my life to think bout what I want to do and I still haven't come to a decision. What should I major in?
Helly kimberloo. I loved seeing you today.

09:07 pm Ok, now that i've got some of the MIAMI photos, I shall post them. It's gonna take one million years though. ................................
 South Beach, Miami, Florida.
Sumin taking the picture, and that's me from the left, RuiRong and Zixue.
Charlene, Youru, Zixue, Me, Ruirong and Sumin. South Beach!

No clear blue skies in miami
 Goodbye south beach.
Zixue and I walking back to the car. Leaving South Beach for.........
MIAMI INK BABY
 Woohoooo.
After waiting since 6 something in the evening, they finally stopped filming at 9pm. And then we had to wait another hour for them to come out. And mind you, we still had to drive back to our hotel in Orlando which is like 3 to 4 hours away.
Hello hello, look who's the first to emerge. The moment CHris Nunez stepped out, flashes went all crazy.
Chris Garver! He is ten thousand times cuter in person. Very polite too.

Kaname. Ami's friend from Japan, who was very entertaining while we were waiting for them to come out to the sidewalk.
Paparazzi shots. We were hanging out in this pizza place across the street killing time. That's Ami James! And Yoji on his left in the black singlet. The two people I wanted to get a picture with the most, left early. DANG IT.
Ok we did take more pictures, I'm sure, I HOPE. We'll be getting together again, for the first time since San Francisco, this Thursday at my place. I am so stoked. Then, I'd have even more pictures for all to see. I'm pretty sure the pictures will show this entry, it's super troublesome, super small, but guaranteed.
So I've heard, that people do read this blog! Woohoo. This blog was created for my homies to get their updates. But since i've been told that poeple actually do visit this blog, which totally surprises me, I will try to keep the ball rolling. I'm no blogger, seriously, I can vaguely remember the things Khoo and I used to blog about at our old blog. Short, stupid, funny but pointless. You would read one entry and think, okay, and the point is? At least, i know its safe to say that my entries made way more sense than Khoo's. So for you guys, I will TRY to blog entries that make sense in one way or another.
Am I making any sense here? ...

12:33 pm - Sweet Home Singapore HELL IT FEELS GOOD TO BE HOME!
Yes I am back and I AM STILL BLOGGING! I am so sure in a few weeks time this blog will be useless to me. I feel like I am home alone, mum went to work, brother's at school and sister is dead in the room. Its wierd actually, I feel extremely bored out of my head because for the past 4 to 5 months, I have been working like bout 14 hours a day, 6 days a week. So I can't really say that it's been nice staying home today.
I HAVE SO MANY PHOTOS TO SHARE. Once Zixue comes home from Taipei, and Charlene and Youru from Honolulu because Charlene has proof of us being at Miami Ink. Yes we made it there!
I still cant believe I'm back home!

11:47 am - Quality Suites! YEAH! ORLANDO bloom, FLORIDA.
So here we are at our second stop. The resort we're staying at is Quality Suites. We're paying like 13USD a night per person for a 2 bed room, plus living area, kitchen suite. And we have a pool too! Which has this happy hour thing going between 5pm to 7pm giving out free booze and soda for their patrons. Now is that a good deal or what.
Spent the whole day at Disney World today. Pretty cool stuff balls. Pictures won't be able to tell half the fun we had. If Walt Disney was still alive, he'd be one hell of a rich dude. Disneyland consists of 4 parks, it would take at least ONE full day to cover one park. And the park is HUGE. I think Disneyland is like 30,000 acres or something. It's like a small town itself. So we'll be spending the next few days visiting the other parks and maybe, hopefully, take a short road trip to Miami!
Ok I feel like I'm blogging nonsense cos whatever's coming out of my mouth seems super boring to me. So I'm gonna stop. I hope we get to see Miami Ink!
Again, no pictures. Not my notebook so you guys have got to wait till I get back!
I'm glad you liked your present =)

10:50 am - Broadway Hotel and Hostel, New York City, Manhattan.
So as I'm writing this entry, My Super Ex Girlfriend is playing. Its funny how the Broadway Hotel and Hostel seem to be 'good enough' of an establishment to have movie nights every night on their 3 flat screens hanging on the nice brick walls in their slick furnished lobby. Stepping into the lobby area really does make you feel like you're in college or something with all the other young people who would rather rough it out in a shabby 29.99USD a night hostel. So its our last night here in New York City. I doubt there'll be any pictures in my entries as I don't have a laptop with me. Anyway, we are gonna get pictures from everyone here at the end of the whole trip. So then, you guys can see whats going on in the hood yo!
So we arrived at JFK International and got a shuttle to the hostel. Check in is at 3pm. We got to the hostel at 7am. So what we did was leave our luggage at the hostel and hung out across the street until we could check in. SAD INDEED. But anyway, since then, its been crazy! Been on our feet the whole day for the past 2 days. Some of the places we went to are Empire State Building, Time Square - TRL BABY! , BROADWAY SHOWS - Marry Poppins and RENT! , Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero (which made me feel a lil wierd walking the streets where people were running in terror), and so much more that I cannot remember right now. So much in 3 days! So much to say so little time! Cant wait to tell you guys about it
New York is: - Like bangkok, dirty, roadside businesses, only with more black people. - unbelievable! I still cant believe i'm in New York! - surprisingly not as expensive as I thought the things would be. - a massive labrynth of city blocks, sidewalks and streets with people and cars all over the place which think that the traffic signals are just suggestions, who honk their horn non-stop 24hrs a day ignoring the signs that say 'DO NOT HONK HORN - FINE $200 + 2 POINTS' - famous and I really love it but their subway stations are FILTHY.
Even before I can believe that my ass is in New York City, its time to pack up. Next Stop: ORLANDO.
7th September, 2007 in New York City. 8th Septmeber back home in Singapore. Which means...
Happy Birthday to YOU Happy Birthday to YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KIMBERLY Happy Birthday to YOUUUUU.
Happy 20th Birthday Sweetie. I'm sorry I could be in town to celevbrate it with you but i'm sure you had a lot of fun!

02:11 pm - So long sweet summer. So the trips drawing to an end. Which means ... I cannot wait to,
- POKER and win money! - go see my brother perform. (oh yeah guys, he's got a new job at some bar) - hug my family! - and for some reason - CLUB - play my electric guitar - eat - au-luat (you know what I mean) - carrot cake - bar chor mee - mama's sweet fried barbeque pork with garlic - all of the other good food that cannot come to mind right now - I can't wait to be home and see EVERYONE!!!
So knowing I don't have much time here, I've been going crazy with outings. Well, not really crazy-crazy, but with comparison to how much I've been JUST working, I've been going crazy. So updating you guys is gonna be crazy.
SO LAST SUNDAY. Met up with Felicia, my cousin in San Francisco, at Roaring Camp which is in the Felton mountains, Santa Cruz. She invited us to her company event, picnic under the sun with all the cool activities. We went on huge bouncy slides that are ridiculously fast and Nate knocked himself out with the bouncing castles. I wanted challenge Felicia to a Sumo fight, you know the ones where you're in a sumo suit and you tackle each other in a ring. Yeah, but we were too late. She la, wanna enjoy her beer. So before we knew it, the event was over and they started keeping all the fun things. After that, Felicia, Aunty Mary and I headed to the boardwalk to hit the rides for a while before Felicia headed home.
MONDAY. We finally went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In my opinion, the best aquarium. But what am I talking bout, I think I've only been to like Underwater World Singapore besides the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We also visited the wharf in Monterey and saw some pretty old school candy stores that make their own old-fashioned candies. I think I'm crazy bout old fashion candies now. I REALLY wish we had shops like these in Singapore. Also, we went to Bubba Gump for lunch! I think its been bout 10 years since I last went there. I really like the place, the ambience, the wooden floors, ceilings, tables, roof. Old-fashioned, the way I like it. And then, me and the girls caught SUPER BAD downtown. Dude, IT WAS SUPER GOOD. GO WATCH SUPER BAD EVERYONE ITS HILARIOUS.

and then i saw a beautiful mermaid . or so i think it is . she's the most beautiful being i ever saw . my heart stopped , and she got me at hello aquarium

TUESDAY. I had the day off, left the house early to go get my brother's stuff from Urban Outfitters, banked in my cheques and took the chance to take some photos. I have been wanting to take pictures of this wall. Couldn't get good ones though cos there were some homeless people hanging around the wall. I wanted to go take pictures of electrical boxes too but I didn't have the car. The city gets like people to paint on all the electrical boxes. I would love a job like that. After that, reported to work at Marini's. After which, we headed to Pizza My Heart to have pizza, duh.

WEDNESDAY. Had half of the day off, because we went SKIM BOARDING! Haha, my god. I remember the last time I touched a skim board. 1999, Primary 6, East Coast Park with PENNY AND KHAIRUL! Haha I bet Sab and the Katong Convent Primary buddies remember that. Khoo, were you there?? Anyway, what happened was, khairul and I were sorta dating and we were having fun at the beach. Then these few matts came and joined us. They were at skim boarding at the beach and thats when I first tried it. I remember Khairul getting jealous. MY GOD. So long ago!! So anyway, I was at the beach with Aunty Mary and Nate, Ja'nae and her baby Eli, Gia and her housemate Eric. Eric's really good at it, Ja'nae and Gia's not bad, Me - SUPER BAD. My body's sore today from all those attempts to try and stay on the board. Had ALOT of falls, some rough ones. WE ALL SHOULD TRY SKIM BOARDING! I can totally see derick crazy on it. So after washing up at home, we met up again for dinner at the buffet place. Walked around and finally went to Marini's to see the Marini's girls. Hugged the ones I wasn't gonna see on my last day goodbye. It made me kinda sad! It's been a blast working with them, really. Well, no pictures from today cos I FORGOT TO BRING MY CAMERA!! I was so mad at myself cos I was too busy trying to skim board at the beach and couldn't take ANY pictures, especially of Eli who is I think one of the CUTEST babies I've ever seen. Hopefully I get to see her one last time to ttake her picture.

09:27 pm - The Motherload. Jeez, it was almost like a breaking point for me. I hate this time of life. Where you have to decide what you want to do with it. Damn the man! (Save the empire! - Empire Records anyone?) Had a good talk with Mrs Yip last night. It's like we've never had any other serious conversation besides gettting caught smoking so many times haha. Momsy, you have NO IDEA how relieved I was to hear you say 'just come home'. She knows she could never take a separation this long, and hell, I could never too. God forbid anything to happen to her cos holy cow, I might just kill myself.
You know how you always talk about certain topics, like if I ever get molested or raped, I'd do this that this that this that. Or if ever given a super rare opportunity to do something but with the condition of leaving your family and friends behind, I would.... ..... ..... I thought I knew what I would do. Jump on it and not let it go. God I didn't think it would be this hard. I guess living in the U. S and A isn't everything. (Although it would be really nice!)
Now that I know for sure that I am coming home, it hits me. Am I really missing out on a chance to excel in life a way that I can never do so in the little red dot? Am I gonna look back and regret it and think what a fool I was to pass on this and never know what it's like. GODDDDDD WHY LIKE THAT?! WHY MAKE LIFE SO DEMANDING!! #(*&#%)&$@^%)$%@)$%^!!!!! #%$*(@&$#%()@*&!!!! #%(&*$#@%()&*$@%()&*$#@*((@&!!! $#@^@$#*(#&$@#%^$&%^$*@^$*(@(*#&$(*&#$()@&^%&$#@*&%^)%$&^#@$%&)*(#&@!!!!!!!! #@^@$#*(#&$@#%^$&%^$*@^$*(@(*#&$(*&#$()@&^%&$#@*&%^)%$&^#@$%&)*(#&@!!!!!!!!
But fuck all that for now,
CAUSE I AM COMING
HOME.
For now, I'm gonna get into some thick sweaters and sit outside. Apparently, there's a meteor shower going on tonight. And I pray that the damned racoons and all that life in those bushes will let me enjoy that.

01:11 am - I WISH...
I wish,
. that I could go on Deal or No Deal (America) and see all those girls and win money (but judging my luck, forget it) . that I could play the guitar like Slash. . that I could buy a new electric guitar even though I really don't need it. . that I could speak cantonese or fluent chinese so that I can bond with my mama. . that I could take the car out for just a day to take pictures of street art and the talented homeless people. . my thighs were not thunderous. . to have my own room although I really love sleeping with my sister. . that I had the new iPod phone although I don't really like it and I definitely don't need it. . I knew what I want to do as a career. . I could sing like a black woman. . I could draw like Derek Hess. . to have a tattoo done by Ami James that I can remove and have on anytime I want (you wish!) . that I didn't do the stars on my neck although I really love it . that I didn't let THAT GUY do my other tattoo. . that I could cut my hair! . that I had a dog. . I could do all the wrong things right. . that I had teleporting skills. . TO HAVE XBOX360. . that I could play the piano and violin. . to have a high metabolism rate. . I loved running so I can work with that high metabolism rate and keep toned and fit. . I didn't enjoy tobacco.
I wish that God made life easier on all of us.
Hate making decisions.

Ok i think that's enough. Some photos like anyhow take, yes they were anyhow-taken. I was hanging out the window snapping away taking whatever I could. But this is it, wanted to show you guys Tahoe. A 10million mega pixel camera could never show you guys what I felt. We should plan a trip to see the world man.
So while you guys have seen me in Lake Tahoe in 2007, here's me 4 years ago in Lake Tahoe. Ok nvm, cant find a good one of me and gen. And I look super loser then.
So gen is gone and I'm lonely again. No one by my side at night, no guitar (please be careful with it babes!). Enjoy your gifts homies! Joseph Shmidt truffles expensive ok!
Funniest thing I heard today on TV.

07:51 pm - Tahoe ho ho ho
So, we spent the weekend in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Didn't really do much, just hung around and relax. Gen and I watched Nate on the two nights there while Aunty Mary and Uncle Lenny headed to the tables. Sigh. If I was just a year older, I would have prolly spent all my hard earned money at the poker tables.
So here are some pictures. I've taken pretty great shots from this trip, so it might be like photo overload. Please take time to look at these photos!
So anyway, Uncle Lenny and I rushed back home at lunch time to get ready for the trip. Within half an hour, we were on the road.
Picked up some Wendy's from the drive through, and we're on our way!
The boy was an angel, he did pretty good throughout the 5 hour drive, i think it was because he had the portable dvd player.

Saber dog came along too! Drooling all over my hair the whole way thank you so much puppy.

Ok, so we got to tahoe at bout 6 in the evening. This is what Babes and I did for the evening. Sistah time yo.

Yes... Argh. Okay! Don't say anything! You guys all know i love music but not much of a banjo-on-my-knee fan. Yes, we watched Rascal Flatts in concert. ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS. I am so not proud of my concert status. Since being a young adult, I have watched Good Charlotte and Rascal Flatts. ..........

The lead guitarist who has the most soft voice, he should be the front man. My hair stood when he sang.
Ok see that man in the photo. I know I look retarded but i had to show you guys. This stone cold steve austin harley davidson biker dude was singing along to rascal flatts with his eyes closed with so much feeling.
LOOK WHAT WE MISSED. Gen was practically screaming.
So when the voilin guy came out, we headed back. Music got a little too much for us to handle. We rockers bodoh.
lying in the hallway of the hotel, Harrah's.
When the parents hit the tables, we threw a party. hah sure.
After much persuation and threats, he finally agreed to lie down for a book and get ready for bed.
Gen and I didn't even stay up past 1am. And we couldnt even wake up at 10 the next morning. After breakfast, it was off to visit the Lake. It was a beautiful day. FYI, Lake Tahoe is about the size of Singapore.

So anyway, after just basking in the sun for like two hours, we headed to this like little burger place in the middle of the woods. Well not exactly int he middle, but that's what I got from it. like you know in shows how some people just come across cool makan places in the middle of nowhere. That was it for me.

Huge ass burgers and crispy onion rings and arlic fries and killer lemonade and milkshakes. Headed back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and off to some fine dining cantonese cuisine. It was really good, they had like chinese caligraphy all over the ceiling, and the ambience, SWEET!

ARCADE TIME. Can you imagine the two of us playing lame games just to win tickets for Nate. We had like close to a 1000 tickets. I would never get that much in this lifetime back at home. And we did it in just two nights.
Now this is too kool for old skool yo.

So the next morning, we went for breakfast and checked out right after that. It was a loooong ride home. With all that traffic, we were on the road for like 8 hours. I was supposed to drive, but california highways scare the crap out of me.
Stopped by the park with a gorgeous view.

That field is mine field full of dog poop.
So back in Tahoe, for the third time, last time was in 4 years ago. God forgive me, I didn't appreciate his creation then. I was overwhelmed on the way back, letting my index finger go crazy on the camera buttons. The highlight f the trip. We stopped by, near a waterfall way way high up in the mountains. Walked a little through the 'woods' and tadah. Fresh water stream. AND MY CAMERA BATT DIED. Thank god I got a few.

Ok didnt do too good with these pictures, was too busy trying not to fall in those mini rapids. God, I wish you guys were there to soak your feet in that fresh cool water.
OK! This entry took a whole lot of my time! I have A LOT more pictures that I'm dying to show you guys. I will do that tomorrow. SO COME BACK AND CHECK IT OUT YO.
Goodbye babes. Keep the room clean til I get home! Your vacation was ended way too soon. =(

10:49 pm - HAPPY BIRTHDAY fairy CARMEL! Mel mel. Wish I could be home with you to celebrate, I would be honoured to do the first cake smash. Even though we're literally a thousand miles apart, I haven't forgotten your special day! I would think of something nicer to say to you, but I've just done like 3 long entries back to back. No pictures of you here with me so I'll just use this.

HAPPY 22ND MY MAKE BELIEVE FAIRY.

10:28 pm - San Jose, Valley Fair. O this would be the first day since I got to Santa Cruz, where I've spent like MONEY MONEY. Shopping. Bought some stuff.
